Take the first steps towards getting outta auto!
Each 2 hour session will give you an introduction to the fundamentals of photography, through all the major settings and concepts so that next time you go out with your camera you will know what you are doing and why you are doing it.
The training will be hands on so bring your camera along if you have one so that you can see for yourself the difference each setting makes.

Main topics covered

Fundamentals

  • Lenses & focal length
  • Aperture
  • Shutter Speed
  • ISO
  • RAW vs JPEG

Next steps

  • Mastering Manual Mode
  • Using your Flash properly
  • Tricks for taking sharper photos
  • Low light photography
  • What is white balance?

Once we have covered the hypertheticals we will arrange a few 'manual settings only' guided sessions out in the field to help you put what you have learned into practice.  These walks are optional and there is no additional charge.
