In the three years that this group has been running, and out of over 50 outings to all sorts of places around the region, by far the most popular is a gentle stroll around Sheffield city centre as the sun goes down. There's something about this city whether it be daylight, twilight or dead of night, there is always something interesting to photograph.
As usual we started at the train station, but this time we took a walk into the 'Cultural Industrial Quarter' of the city to explore the interesting mix of new and old, plus plenty of decay and graffiti along the way.
As we were leaving we took a quick stroll up to the top level of the multi-story car park on Eyre Street to take in some high-level sights, and then we made our way to the Peace Gardens where we enjoyed a bit of street theatre before calling it a night.
All in all a very enjoyable evening, plenty of regulars turned up plus a couple of new faces which is always a treat.
Anyway, since we're a photo group we did manage to get a few snaps....
That's all we've got for now. If you came on the outing but your photos aren't on here just post them in the forum and I'll update it. If you didn't come on the outing but wish you had then take a look on the 'Future Outings' menu above to find out where we're going next.
The Tekathon is a new and hopefully annual charity fundraising campaign organised by I Just Wanna Tek Gud Photos.
For our first Tekathon we set ourselves the target of £414 (£1 for every member of our Facebook group as of July 2014) in aid of The Children's Hospital Charity.

The fundraising comprised two main activities, firstly a photo walk around Sheffield where all who took part would make a donation, followed by an exhibition in Eten cafe in Sheffield launching in November 2014 where the photos we took would be offered for sale to further boost our contribution towards the charity.
The photowalk went ahead on the morning of Sunday 28th September 2014. We were very lucky with the weather considering it was September and the added excitement of the Great Yorkshire Run which was also going on in town at the same time made this a very memorable walk.
We'll be accepting donations until the exhibition closes so please do keep chipping in, link below.
